Dear faithful supporter,
Did you know that ...
- Approximately 8% of all US veterans live in California.
- Veterans in California represented 31% of the national homeless veteran population.
- Veterans face growing mental health issues, with 1 in 5 from Iraq or Afghanistan experiencing PTSD or depression. Many don't seek help, leading to substance abuse, homelessness, and family strain. Despite $1 billion invested in prevention, veteran suicide rates remain high.
- Veterans make up approximately 8 percent of the 2.2 million people incarcerated in jails and prisons in the United States
